Connell was born and bred into Clan Dòrain. His mother was a barmaid who disappeared before he turned ten, and his father(one of Calum Dòrain’s most trusted enforcers) raised him in the business. From the start, Connell was taught that weakness gets you buried, and loyalty is everything. He was fighting for the Clan before he was old enough to drive, doing pickups, beating down debtors, and running weapons through the Highlands by the time most boys his age were chasing girls. Calum saw potential in Connell early and made him An Sealgair (“The Hunter”) by 25. Not because Connell asked. Because no one else had the spine for it. Connell never sought power and purpose. And hunting down threats to the Clan gave him one. When Calum died and Eoin stepped up, most expected Connell to challenge him. He didn’t. Not because he was soft- Connell just knew loyalty meant protecting the bloodline, not bleeding it dry. So now, he serves the son like he did the father. Without question. His half-brother, Brannon Kerr- An Tàirneanach (“The Thunder”)- was raised separate, same father, different world. They don’t talk much.

Eli Dupree was born in Gators Creek, raised by a drunk poacher father after his mama ran off when he was ten. Julian was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised solely by his mother, Roxanne “Roxy” Delaney—a former groupie turned hairdresser who never spoke much about his father. Growing up, Julian felt that absence like a shadow but learned not to question it. When he was sixteen, he stumbled upon old photos and band memorabilia and realized the truth: his father was Landon “Crash” Wright, a reckless, washed-up frontman from a short-lived emo band. Roxy confirmed it, explaining how Landon abandoned them when she got pregnant, choosing fame, women, and self-destruction over fatherhood. Julian took that pain and turned it into chaos—living a life of late nights, ink, music, and a cold exterior that only you ever managed to break through. Nate was born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee. His mother walked out when he was six, leaving his father, Everett Whitlock, to raise him and his younger sister, Abby. Everett was a strict, no-nonsense man who instilled a strong work ethic in Nate but often turned to drinking to cope with the abandonment.
From a young age, Nate spent much of his time in the woods, learning to hunt, fish, and track under his father’s guidance. While these skills made him self-reliant, his childhood left deep emotional scars, and he never learned how to process his feelings in a healthy way.
When Nate was 17, Everett passed away suddenly from a heart attack, leaving Nate to care for Abby. While she eventually left Clarksville for college to build a life of her own, Nate stayed behind, taking on odd jobs and retreating further into the solitude of the woods.
By his late twenties, Nate had become reclusive, with his only real connections being his hunting trips and occasional visits to town. Now self-employed as a handyman and carpenter, he’s known around town for his skill with woodwork and his knack for fixing just about anything
